The Magic of Mastery is a collection of comics and videos that examine life in these perditious times…times which are foretold according to so-called ABRAHAMIC lore. Of course, such lore might be your gospel…or you might see it as straight-up bullshit. Either way – It’s happening before your very eyes…and none of it has anything to do with your spiritual well-being.

Very few took Donald J. Trump seriously when he declared his intent to become president. Hindsight can be helpful when you find yourself scratching your head about such things. Here’s a poetic look at The Donald’s infamous 2015 descent on his golden escalator to announce his presidential candidacy. The message then is the message today.
A House Divided
After wrapping up dinner and changing into to PJs, Sam decided to do a little Bagua swordplay before wrapping up his preparations for his family’s upcoming trip to Costa Rica. Sam and Elizabeth had some unresolved communication issues – issues which are resurrected when Elizabeth approaches Sam to discuss a few a whole bunch of stuff sitting poorly with her. Alas! There is no peace in the realm of Keystone Castle this evening!
Religious Relativity
Sam and Lizzie enjoy an impromptu dance to a song Sam wrote after reflecting on his wife and the importance of her role in his life. The song (My Baby Gayatri) is a rendition of the great Gayatri mantra put forth in the Sanatana Dharma (or Hinduism) tradition. After the dance, Sam and Lizzie get into a brief discussion about the nature of religious relativity – a discussion Lizzie ends up continuing with Javier much to her surprise.
Corporate Coward No More
Sam finally manages to take action towards getting The Magic of Mastery created …and he gets Lizzie to agree to help him in spite of her ongoing resistance to the idea. While waiting for Lizzie to arrive at the lake to help him get started, Sam takes a few minutes to reflect on things and get a head start on the whole video creation process.
VIP in the Building
Sam has a quick chat with Lizzie before reaching out to his illustration team in Venezuela. Always thinking about opportunities for mastery, Sam revisits the Venezuela Investment Project (VIP) – an initiative through which the Venezuelan workforce can be developed.

Civil Unrest
Sam and Lizzie can’t seem to have a simple conversation without everything devolving into an argument. The scene to so many in the Carter household: The family is watching a television show, and during the commercials, Sam begins discussing the show’s content and its relationship to current events. Javier joins in, and Lizzie – bored of the interaction – tries to shut down the conversation because “current events just ain’t that big of a deal.”
