About The Magic of Mastery

The Magic of Mastery examines life in the foretold days of perdition.  These days (to paraphrase Dickens in A Tale of Two Cities) represent both the best and worst of times for many of the characters in The Magic of Mastery universe … especially for protagonist Sam Carter. Like many in his day, Sam is coming to terms with what he sees as the real issues of the time and what must be done to address them.

Unfortunately, the lines between entertainment, emotion, religion, and money create an environment where truth and fiction have little difference but for the people who decree one vs. the other. Over time, this leads to an odd conflation of nationalism, tribalism, and ideological war which results in a mass deception known as the MAGA virus. This virus is not physical, but mental …transferred through the media, the web, and the spoken/written word. It leads to cognitive distortions which places the entire world under a “spell” through which people are divided, conquered, and forced to comply with a sinister agenda that transcends race, politics, religion, or identity.

Like any trying time, one’s role and what must be done is determined by a number of things, including who you are, your age, your abilities, your tribe, and the threats you may or may not face. Can Sam and the rest of The Magic of Mastery characters resolve these and other issues while there is still time to prepare for the forthcoming storm?
